Frances A. James is the founder of FAJ, Inc, a consultant business located in the DMV, that provides therapy, instruction for the social work licensure examination, mentoring services, trainings and consultations. She has provided trainings and consultations for Department of Behavioral Health, University of the District of Columbia, Southern University, Catholic University, Morgan State University, Kayla’s Village, Contemporary Family Services, and National Council for Adoption. Ms. James has a plethora of experience having worked in child welfare, geriatrics, healthcare, education and substance abuse. Ms. James has been assisting social workers with passing the licensure examination since 2006. Currently, she is employed as a Medical Social Worker and a Crisis Intervention Specialist. Through her years of service Ms. James has been awarded, “Supervisor of the Year” from DC Child and Family Services, Associate of the Year and Patient Centered Hero Award from Medstar Health Homecare. Ms. James’ ultimate goal is to open up a community mental health center which will provide mentoring and training for newly licensed social workers.
