When I came to Frances I was emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually drained. I would even say at times I didn’t want to live. But Frances helped me to overcome every barrier in my life. Over the past 10 years I have grown to love myself, take care of myself and know myself worth. I am still learning through her help to identify addictive and negative behaviors and thoughts before spiraling out of control. She has helped me to deal with the joys, sorrows, relationships and the challenges of life. Frances has assisted me on this journey of life so much so that I have referred several people to her and they have also referred other individuals. Frances has walked me through dealing with an addictive husband, personal depression, the lost of my baby and my husband within the same year, overcoming father issues, career advancements, purchasing of a new home and so many other things. Her demeanor, candidness yet concerned way of handling me kept me coming back. Even when there were times when I refused to come in or talk during our sessions she showed that she cared through her professionalism and authenticity with talking me through my issues.

Frances James has helped save my life. I was instructed by a friend of mine that I needed to get professional help with the circumstances that were happening in my life. I was very hesitant and against it because I had been to a therapist in my college years and hated it. They weren’t any help and were very condescending. I remember when I found Frances on Psychology Today. To be honest I was looking for someone who looked like me but was only doing it because of the pressure I was receiving from my friend. I called Frances or emailed her through the contact information and I remember clear as day, I told her I was reaching out because I needed help but I don’t talk. LOL. When she called me back she said, you said you don’t talk so I don’t know how this is going to work but we will work it out. I believe it has been over ten years of me not talking (smile).
